The Company

Ballet Ireland has been developed out of a highly successful and artistically meritorious company which toured western Europe out of Munich for 11 years. Consequently it has on board a very high level of professionalism and profound experience allied, of course, to artistic talent.

Günther Falusy has worked with most of the great choreographers and dancers of the past and present including Ashton, Balanchine, Butler, Cranko, Hayde, Fonteyn, Killian, McMillan, Massine, Nureyev Tudor and Schaufuss. He has also worked with the some of the great conductors and directors of Opera including Bhm, Everding, Karajan, Kleiber, Sawalisch, Schenk and Wallman in his 26 years as a dancer with the Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State opera and the Stuttgart Ballet.

Anne Maher has danced the principle in all the great classics including Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Giselle all over western Europe. Together the directors have a wealth of experience in running a professional touring company.

Günther Falusy and Anne Maher have made a deep and substantial commitment to the re-establishment of professional ballet in this country.
